Producing since 2002, Chymera's productions effortlessly straddle genres. Never one to follow trends, his releases can range from the introspectively deep to uplifting melodic, and combinations of both. All coming with their own stamp of genius. Observing from the sidelines, 2007 could be considered, to date, a career high. In January he released 'Midnight at the Aquarium' on another hyperXclusive label, 'Mezzotinto'. This was followed by an EP on 'Morse Records' and 'Tishomingo's release. Then came the manically supported 'Umbrella' on Josh Wink's 'Ovum Recordings' which lit up the summer.... and, he rounded out the year with releases on 'NRK', 'ORK' and 'Triangle Recordings'. Pretty impressive eh?

The 'Burnt Sienna' EP opens with the title track, and boy what a track! It could be considered an ode to the soundtrack that initially lit his fire all the way back in 2000. With a nod to Aztec Mystic 'Knights of the Jaguar', 'Burnt Sienna' launches at you with its percussive intro, entwined with the lush warm synths that hark back to escapist productions of the 'Detroit' era. Many try to re-create that sound and fail nowadays, but this is as close as you can get to that bygone era... Excellent!!! With an A side as difficult to follow as that, is it is even more impressive that we are treated to the wonderful 'The Pillar in my Heart'. The skills of their creator are on full display once again and the warmth that emanates from the layered track is a joy to behold. Subtle yet euphoric, this is how all music should sound today.

In this line of work you shouldn't really show favouritism to any one release that you work... But I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is one of the finest releases to have passed through my hands here at hyperXclusive. I'll leave you with a comment from Funk D'Void that makes the point so well... "There's one thing that I can be sure of in these uncertain times... Chymera fucking rocks!"

Tishomingo Music is a supremely hot young imprint that is gearing up to make major waves across the scene. Dakotta formed it back in 2004, looking to be able to release music and talent that he liked. Since then, it has steadily built a solid reputation and back catalogue.

2006 saw the label move their distribution from the UK to Intergroove Germany, and over the following two years they developed their core sound. In order to pursue a more unique, deeper route, label head 'Dakotta' began to sign releases by some of the world's hottest talent.

Their roster for last year, was impressive reading. Chymera's 'Arabesque' became an anthem for Luciano. 'Seagull' the awesome production from Israel's finest, Guy Gerber, found itself reaching the top of charts across the world, and their signing of Cocoon and Freak N Chic artist David K's 'Tight N Sexy' EP, saw the label appearing again, in the boxes of many of the world's finest DJ's.

2008 Tishomingo Music is also looking to introduce to the world some exciting new talent.following the huge success of French man David K 'Cocoon / Freak N Chic Tight N Sexy Ep, comes Varoslav the newest member to join the Tishomingo Family. Yet young but extremely talented, His newest imprint Cause N Effets is already creating a big buzz across the dance scene. And is being played by some of the worlds best Dj's. This Ep has something for everyone out there. And we are extreley proud to have found him!!

Were also proud to introduce Daivd Keno look out for his killer EP Circus_Maximus due out first week of april 2008 and last but not least Miss O Lee the first female artist to join the label.

Tishomingo will also be joining www.samurai.fm so look out for our artists podcasts starting this March.
